virgin circle line ride..

Went for lesson and philip kind enough to drop me off at bishan..so that i can have a straight train home =)not exactly straight la..at least i dont need to transfer another time..
At 1st i was quite afraid that i walk the wrong way or something..but, nope!!   i didnt..not because i'm smart..but coz of the prominent sign board..that you wouldnt miss out..coz the bright yellow is such a catchy color..


well.. overall the new train service didnt had much of a difference..except that it has a very short map(like wat, 5 dots..compare to red line 20plus dots)and all the lights are so bright(coz its new,LOL)..no driver, same as NEL..
from bishan back to kovan is just 6mins train ride..+ waiting and walking.. i reach home in about less than 30mins..
much faster than the bus service 53, or 55..which will probably take me around 1hour(or more) to reach home..
what more.. my new work place is at paya lebar..so the next time i go for lesson, i can board at bartley =p
now,i'm beginning to fall in love with yellow.. =p

Met up with my girls.. at square 2, to celebrate dice way belated bday..As dice prefer korean food(same as me..LOL), Bin did the search and found Seoul Yummy,which i been before with qin..
Wen put plane again.. LOL.. coz she's sick..okie.. we forgive you..next gathering must come ar... maybe u should organize it.. heh~

Cousin Gathering

After 234729582735 times of postponing, delay..finally this day.. majority of people is free..
For the long-ago-suppose-to-have KTV session..Usual place i recommend.. Topone..Freezing as usual, packed with people as usual..
after the long hours of KTV session,i can feel my voice box breaking..lol..
好不容易聚在一起， 那里可以就这样解散了呢？headed for dinner at LaiLai (speciality is 牛肉面)but ended up with no one eating it..

Good Food 5/7 - Waraku The Prefered Choice

Went to waraku for a ladies night promo on 1st may..now we're going back again.. coz we have the vouchers.
This time round we try to order differnt dishes compare to the other time..
Each of us ordered on main course and one side dish..but some side dish ended up remaining outside our stomach =p
the post it so lagged behind that i couldnt remember the name of the dishes we ate =x
Females never fail to cam-whore in any situation..so before ser and me decided to leave for an impromtu ktv session..we still take take take take pictureseven though we're abit late the session=p 

It was a fun experience with wen and jun =)
A final shot before we left.. and sang our hearts out until 3am.. LOL

端午节

一年一度的端午节又到了！！
dont tell me 端午节 is the one that needs eat moon cake ar.. i'm gonna faint..
1st time blogging about 端午节,just a brief history about how my family celebrate this traditional day..


since young, if my memory didnt fail me.. i was around 7-8 years old..every 端午节 all of us(my mum + her siblings and not forgetting my cousins) will gather at my grand parents place to wrap dumpling together..
The oily floor, the noisy kitchen, the unique charcoal smell, the aroma of the cooked dumpling carrying the dumplings in and out of the house to air..children will be at the corridoor playing, at the same time ensuring thatthe dumpling wouldnt get stolen..
After so many years, the scene is still so vividly displaying in my mind..
Those were my childhood days and these were the resaons that bond the older batch of cousins together..Now i know, why my grand-dad insist that everyone must return every sunday for dinner..真是用心良苦


All these were events before my grand-dad passed away..now that he had left.. things became a liitle different..
instead of gathering at my grand parents place..each family wrap their own style of dumpling..
as you can see below, these 黑黑的， 一粒一粒的 are not chocolates..these are red bean paste.. LOL.. my fave style of dumpling..

each of my mum sibling have different kind of favours,dried oyster ones, hei bi hiam ones, red bean ones, bean with rice ones..i think we can open a dumpling business already.. lol

The whole process of producing a dumpling is very tedious..buying meat, to cutting it all up+ marinatingbuying of spices,fry it, grind it into powderbuying fresh shallot,chopped, frycooking meat, mushrooms,栗子(still need to pick out dirt)washing the leavessoaking the glutinous rice(1hr) rice,stir-fry itprepare the charcoal, 看火，加碳wrapping it,cooking it (2hrs)..
sometimes, i really admire my mum..she's like a 女超人, she has the energy to do all these..now you know why dumpling is retailing at $3 /pc.. LOL
its a must to cook dumpling on charcoal.. if not, the dumpling taste horrendous. Tested and Proveni've no idea why, probably is the temperature of the fire..
Above are the ingredients:bamboo leaves  (forgot to mention another stuff i'm allegic to,bamboo leaves, now i've red spots on my hands,even though i'm allegic to it.. but i still have to wash it every year.. LOL..)meat with all the spices and cookedglutinous rice stir-fried with saucenot forgetting the fire~~
My mum and ah ma teaching me how to wrap~
1st: rice to fill up the bottom2nd: add the meat, red bean, mushroom and 栗子.3rd: cover the ingredients with another round of rice..4th: fold and tie it up..
it may sound simple..but if the dumpling is not properly folded, it will leak out..if the string is tied too tightly, it will go out of shape..好难啊!!!

This year i improved, i wrap 5 of them,and everyone survived the 2 hour  sauna, came out in 1 piece..
unlike last year.. i wrap 2, both of them leaked out..zzzzz
gonna try harder next year =)i wan to carry on the tradition..heh~ if i can la..
gawd~ i can imaging the red spots on my hands next year..again...............

Good Food 4/7 - Qin Bday

Met up with Steph, Yani + her Bf at north point for lunchfor Qin's bday =)
Just wonder if all delifrance are the same..but, at least for the northpoint outlet.. it was quite a disappointing one for me..
I ordered Cesar Salad, but the salad has no cheese at all..*shake head*The rest was still edible..

Only the dessert passed the examination of my tongue.. LOL..

i think kai used burst mode..without me knowing..so, i'm the only one with constant expression =p

We actually wanted to get qin polaroid flims..but, kai searched the whole of simlim square, not even 1 single piece was found..


So we( Steph,Yani, Kai and Me) decided to get qin Capita Voucher,at least she can get what she need =)

Good Food 3/7 - The Impromptu(s)

Suppose to meet Philip 6.30pm at braddell..but, he say he would be late.. so, decided to go dinner with qin~ 
Ichiban Sushi.. coz both os us was craving for salmons.. =pso, decided on ichiban last min..
Set dinner @15.90 ++ Tofu hotplate set with blac pepper sauce(chicken) :^^VVVvPrawn with bacon Cheese hotate  :^^VVVv
Plain water is the best~ =p

Ser was having bad mood =(even after facial, i still can see BLACK clouds with lighting and thunder over her head..
so, decided to bring her to eat good food..Manhatten, seafood platter for 2 : ^^VVVV
After the good food, can see that the black clouds turned grey..*smiles*

Good Food 2/7 - Bye Bye Lunch

As mentioned on the previous entry,my contract with NYP is coming to an end.. soon.. like.. another 1 week time..
Time really *phoof* away, just like that..
In total, there will be 5 of us..Really say bye to NYP after 4 years of eating the same kind of food everyday..
To continue the tradition,we have a bye bye lunch together.. @ Sakura
